Apparently on the Windows side of things, there is much love for “µTorrent”:http://utorrent.com, a light-weight, full-featured bitTorrent client for much of your Bukit-Timah goodies. On the greener side of the world, us Mac users had to settle for the much bloated Java client “Azureus”:http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ for a period of time before we were introduced to “Transmission”:http://www.transmissionbt.com/.
I have been using Transmission since then as it takes up a smaller chunk of the processor and serves my TV needs. It can even run smoothly on a 6 year old PowerMac QuickSilver on 512MB ram.
Will µTorrent be as good as Transmission, or will you be bothered? Check it out yourself but do note that it is “at beta”:http://mac.utorrent.com/beta/ right now. (“Download link”:http://mac.utorrent.com/beta/).
Let us know if you have tried it.
