Apple “announced”:http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2012/09/24iPhone-5-First-Weekend-Sales-Top-Five-Million.html the sales of 5 million iPhone 5 worldwide within 3 days after its launch on 21 September 2012. And when they said worldwide – only 9 countries so far (the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the U.K) are selling iPhone 5. Do also note that this is sales and not shipment like how some other companies tend to announce these numbers.

Till now, there are still queues at most Telcos and Apple resellers who are selling the iPhone 5.

Also, there’s over 100 million iOS devices that got updated with iOS 6 – that’s over 100 million iOS 6 updates within a week of launch.

Not bad for a disappointing OS upgrade and new phone.

Speaking of which, mine got a dent just a few hours after I received mine.
