Two clips – one from 2009 and one sometime this year – shows part of Apple’s lab where many of their products are crafted.

Jony Ive talks about design in a 2009 documentary – Objectified. To many, design is just about how it looks – how slim the MacBook Air is or how light the iPad mini is. But for Apple, design is also about function – and in this short clip – about how they get a piece of aluminium and be able to produce a single crafted section of the MacBook Air, that not just holds the keyboard, but also serves as the foundation of building the product.

In the clip below, you’ll get to see an up-to-date Jony Ive receiving an award from BBC’s show Blue Peter – the gold Blue Peter Badge – for his work at Apple and also how he became an inspiration to children around the world.

You get to swing big-ass swords.

Infinity BladeInfinity Blade, the poster boy of games on iOS, is free for the first time ever. Created by Epic Games studio ChAIR Entertainment, the app is available for free as Apple had chosen them as the App of the Week.

Based on the Epic’s Unreal Engine 3, Infinity Blade was launched in Dec 2010 and became one of the best selling games on iOS. In the past two years, the game has evolved from a single player to multi-player game with frequent addition of new contents.

Well if you have not tried it, go download the game now for free before the offer ends. Love it? There’s Infinity Blade 2 to continue the epic story.

Somehow, this Youtube user videosdebarraquito figured out how to bypass the iPhone 5 lock-screen through some combinations of button pressing

First part: Go to emergency call, push down the power button and tap cancel. Dial 112 and tap green and inmediately red. Go to lock screen.

Ok…ready for second part: Go to passcode screen. Keep pushing down the power button …1…2…3…seconds and before showing the slider “turn off”…tap the emergency call button and …voilá! Then without releasing the power button press the home button and ready…

This work-around allows you to access the phone app, view or modify contacts, check voicemail, and look through the phone’s photos (by attempting to add a photo to a contact)…

Guess there’ll be an iOS update coming soon.
