Every day, more photos are taken with the iPhone than any other camera.

Lovely ad. I believe I have done everything shown here.

Epic 10,000 iPhone 5 Domino showcases 10,000 iPhones (that’s right TEN THOUSAND iPhones) falling neatly in patterns. These CG iPhones’ feature NFC (Near Field Communications) concept that enable content to be passed on from one iPhone screen to another.

This iPhone video is imagined as an advertisement for the iPhone 5 concept feature of NFC. If iPhone 5S comes with the NFC feature, this could be a pretty neat iPhone commercial.

designboom got to speak with Hartmut Esslinger about the launch of his new book Design Forward. Hartmut, a German designer whose design company, Frog Design, had a hand in early product designs with Apple in the early 80s.

In the article, designboom also put up some photos of early prototypes for Apple which didn’t see the light of day. Here are some of them.

Gregory, a 13 year old boy received an iPhone from his mom, Janell this Christmas. For most parents, this will probably be a no-no but for Janell, the gift comes with an 18-point contract, which he has to agree before he gets to use it.

  1. I will always know the password.
  2. If it rings, answer it. It is a phone. Say hello, use your manners. Do not ever ignore a phone call if the screen reads “Mom” or “Dad”. Not ever.
  3. Hand the phone to one of your parents promptly at 7:30pm every school night & every weekend night at 9:00pm. It will be shut off for the night and turned on again at 7:30am. If you would not make a call to someone’s land line, wherein their parents may answer first, then do not call or text. Listen to those instincts and respect other families like we would like to be respected.

There are more to the contract and I think it applies not just to Gregory but to many of us, adults as well.
