Archives For music

Bored of the local radio stations with their crappy ads and crappier DJs and not able to get access to US-based services like Pandora or Spotify or not looking to pay Apple with their iTunes Music Match service? HypedMusic might be the solution for you.

Developed by Luke Li, the service allows you to stream music legally from anywhere in the world. By logging in via FaceBook, you can also save and sync playlists across devices – currently accessible via the web, iPhone and Android app.

As mentioned earlier, HypedMusic is legal to use as it taps free to use APIs from other sites that is compliant with DMCA’s fair use policy.

At this point, music discovery is via a Popular list or via search and adding of songs to playlist is much more convenient on the site than on the app. But teething issues aside, HypedMusic has potential to be big, especially outside the USA.

Plus who doesn’t like a free service?
